Welcome to 2014! And our first official year of business.
We are kicking off the New Year by thinking about Love. Valentines is approaching quickly, so I think we all thought our first meeting would be about Valentines designs. However, instead we started talking about why we are so excited about making Flagology work.
Our mission is to make fabulous flags that make people smile – and in the process to do cool things for non-profits. Part of our mission is to give back 5% of sales every year. This holiday, our customers sent us thank you notes about how our flags made their loved ones so happy at Christmas. That has made us so happy, that it’s hard to even explain.

- A great-uncle who delivered a hero flag to his little niece in the hospital
- A neighbor who had the perfect flag for welcoming her holiday guests into her home
To hear these stories made us feel like our product had an actual heart, and that it was out there in the world, spreading love. Our mission – making people smile & giving back – it’s a happy kind of little company.
In our first meeting we talked about how we might be able to give back a little more – so that YOU can have that same experience. We decided to give away a year’s worth of flags every month – to someone’s HERO – you tell us about a hero & we will pick a story every month. That way you can make someone as happy as your stories make us. We are calling it our “Hero Love Campaign” – and sneak peek – we are starting in January with teachers

A big part of our inspiration for this was the “Giving Tuesday” campaign that we participated in during December, giving funds back to Wounded Warrior. In honor of the Giving Tuesday folks, we will post updates about the Flagology Heroes Campaign every Tuesday. Check our site to see what the campaigns are and how you can give 12 flags to someone you honor (and by the way, if you honor someone who has passed away, or if you don’t know where your kindergarten teacher is anymore, you can choose to have the flags donated to a non-profit so they can use them as a fundraiser or for advertising)!
So you can honor anyone that has inspired or helped you along the way. Start thinking about who has made a difference in your life – we are already thinking about who our own heroes are and what fun it will be to tell them all about what they mean to us. We think this will be fun & are really looking forward to hearing your stories!

The Flagology Hero of the Month will receive One Year of Free Custom Photo Flags. (One free custom photo flag per month for 12 months.)
