Stories of Diversity, Grace and Beauty … Captured on a Custom Photo Flag?

Garden-Flags-NiceLadyLate last year, my friend Laura said, “Susan, you have to look at Humans of New York (HONY) on Facebook. I know you are going to love this.” And oh my goodness, do I ever! In fact, I now find that it’s a really special part of my day that I look forward to – I laugh, sometimes I cry, sometimes I just sit there at my desk in amazement at the diversity, grace and beauty of human nature. It’s all captured in a photograph and a few lines of text.

And since I make flags, I want to turn them all into custom photo flags! I want to fly the inspiring woman whose dying husband left her with this incredible advice about love:

“When he was dying, I said: ‘Moe, how am I going to live without you?’ He answered: ‘Take the love you have for me, and spread it around.”

Every single “microfashion” photo is a gift – and I want to make them all into flags! I want to help preserve the raw honesty and emotional significance of some of the most important things in other people’s lives.

That’s what has become so cool about this job and this company. It makes us stop and see a moment in someone’s life – and really see how special that one photo is to them. When we frame the moments of our lives in a way that captures our emotions, it really makes us feel alive!

HONY inspires me every day. Check them out if you have not already. Here is a link to their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/humansofnewyork – if you like it, you will receive little gifts of love every day, from a talented young man with a special vision. Thanks, Humans of New York. You make me see the Humans All Around Me in a new light.

Love, Susan
